I’ve heard about something called the IDeA competition? What is that, and how do I get involved?

IDeA – Innovative Designs for Accessibility – is an annual student competition hosted by COU, in partnership with the government of Ontario, that challenges students to find innovative, cost-effective and practical solutions to accessibility-related barriers in the community. The competition was inspired by the goal of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) to make Ontario the most accessible province by 2025

IDeA challenges Ontario’s university undergraduate students to use their creativity – working individually or in teams with industry, government and community partners, including members of the disability community – to identify an accessibility-related issue, develop a plan to address the issue, and create an innovative and unique solution to it.
