Ontario universities’ third annual Going Greener report highlights progress made by campus communities towards environmental sustainability. Based on a survey of Ontario universities, this report features initiatives from 2010 and progress made since 2009. These important improvements include lowering campus emissions, waste and water management, and the addition of required green practices from university vendors.
85% of university campuses indicated that students have the opportunity to contribute towards solving the institution’s sustainability challenges through extracurricular activities, and/or as part of their on-campus living arrangements
