A new interactive database of Ontario university information, launched today by the Council of Ontario Universities (COU), makes this rich online resource even more transparent and easier to use.
“Ontario universities take very seriously their need for openness and this database demonstrates the leadership and commitment to accountability in the sector,” says Alastair Summerlee, Chair of COU, and President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Guelph.
The interactive features of the new system, called Common University Data Ontario (CUDO), will it make easier to compare information on enrolment, degrees, transfers, library collections, student experience, tuition fees, class size, university revenue, research funding, graduation rates, retention rates, graduate employment rates and more.
“University planners have worked hard to ensure that all our stakeholders have access to data on a wide range of university issues,” says Bonnie Patterson, COU President and CEO.
Ontario universities have published individual reports on CUDO since 2006. The new system makes it easy for anyone to collect and compare information across different Ontario universities and for different years.
